Idaho Society of CPAs membership

Find professional connections while you prepare for the CPA exam. Start by checking whether student or associate membership fits your situation.

This guide explains the dues, practical benefits and questions to ask before joining the Idaho Society of CPAs (ISCPA).

Eligible ISCPA members save $300 on Kesler COMPLETE or MAX. See the savings after membership dues.

Student, graduate or working candidate?

Your status changes
which questions to ask.

Still enrolled?

$25 student dues

The student information page describes business students working toward CPA education requirements. The application uses broader accounting, finance and business wording. If your program or CPA plans are uncertain, ask ISCPA which rule applies to you.

Working, but not a CPA?

$150 associate dues

The associate category requires employment with a firm or company that has at least one ISCPA Fellow member in good standing. Confirm that connection with your employer and ISCPA. Taking the exam does not, by itself, establish your category.

Compare ISCPA membership categories

Check the renewal date, not just the price.

ISCPA uses a calendar-year cycle and processes renewals early in January. Before joining late in the year, confirm the amount due now, your paid-through date and any applicable renewal offer. Do not assume a payment buys twelve months from today.

Dues and renewal source: ISCPA's current application. Other categories have different terms; the figures here are not universal candidate rates.

Your Kesler member benefit

Save $300 on Kesler
COMPLETE or MAX.

Eligible ISCPA members get $300 off Kesler COMPLETE or MAX through the exclusive link in the society's member area. View current public pricing to compare the plans.

Student membership

$300 savings − $25 dues = $275 net savings.

If you qualify for student membership and use the Kesler benefit, your combined course and membership cost is $275 less than the current public course price.

Associate membership

$300 savings − $150 dues = $150 net savings.

If you qualify for associate membership and use the Kesler benefit, your combined course and membership cost is $150 less than the current public course price.

Use your actual dues in the comparison.

These examples include one dues payment at the published rates above and one eligible course purchase. Add any renewal or separately charged activities you choose. If you already have an eligible membership, the course saving is the full $300 with no new dues needed to join.

Confirm your membership category and benefit access with ISCPA before paying dues. Join or sign in on the society's website to find the exclusive Kesler link.

Put the membership to work

Choose a first action.
Then use the connection.

Ask a CPA a focused question

ISCPA lists mentor and resource contacts among its student benefits. Prepare a question about a role you want to understand, then ask how to connect. A contact list is not a promise of an assigned mentor.

Make your job search concrete

Student resources include internship information and resume posting. Pick one next step: update your resume or identify the kind of internship you want to explore. Membership does not guarantee an interview or placement.

Meet the profession in person

Look at member functions and committee opportunities. Check the schedule, location and any additional cost before counting an event as a benefit you will use.

See ISCPA's student benefit list for availability and details.

Your Idaho membership decision

Before you join,
write down four answers.

You may value a local professional connection even without a course discount. If your only reason to join is a specific benefit, confirm your eligibility for that benefit before paying dues.

Compare the full cost

Dues now + any renewal during the period you plan to use membership + separately charged activities.

Once you can view a member course offer, compare the combined cost with the course price otherwise available to you. A one-time saving does not cancel recurring dues.

  1. Which category fits?

Write down your enrollment status or employer. If you are considering associate membership, confirm the required Fellow-member connection.

  2. When will I renew?

Ask ISCPA for your amount due now, paid-through date and next renewal amount. Save those answers with your receipt.

  3. What will I use first?

Name one person you want to learn from, one career resource to explore or one event you can attend. Put that action on your calendar.

  4. Where is my member benefit?

After membership is confirmed, sign in on ISCPA's site. Locate the Kesler benefit in the member area; contact ISCPA if it is missing.
