A preparation guide you can use

Start with what
still needs attention.

You don't need another vague instruction to “study more.” You need to know whether to finish planning, broaden question coverage, review recent mistakes, or rehearse a full mock.

The targets are informed by Kesler users' study activity and self-reported results. They give your preparation structure. They are not a predicted CPA exam score or a measured probability of passing.

Your six preparation targets

A checklist with
a next action.

Work within the section you are preparing to take. Recent practice and mock targets are tied to your saved exam date.

  1. 01

    Complete CPA Mentorship.

Finish every module so your study approach has a foundation.

If unfinished: return to the remaining modules and use them to make decisions about your study routine.

  2. 02

Save your plan and exam date.

Build a study plan with the real date for the section you will take.

If your date changes: update it. The final-review windows need the correct exam date.

  3. 03

    Build broad question coverage.

Answer at least 750 distinct practice multiple-choice questions (MCQs) for that section.

If unfinished: work on questions you haven't answered yet. Repeating a familiar question doesn't expand distinct-question coverage.

  4. 04

    Keep practice recent.

Answer at least 300 distinct practice MCQs in the final 30 calendar days, including exam day.

If unfinished: plan regular practice blocks in the current window, rather than relying only on earlier work.

  5. 05

    Check recent accuracy.

Reach at least 70% accuracy across the counted practice answers in that 30-day window.

If unfinished: revisit the reasoning behind mistakes, then test the concept again. Review helps learning; it doesn't overwrite the first answer used in this calculation.

  6. 06

    Rehearse with a mock.

Complete a section mock exam with at least 70% overall accuracy, including simulations, in the final 14 calendar days, including exam day.

If unfinished: make time for a full mock and review its results. A quiz percentage alone does not satisfy this target.

How are distinct questions, accuracy, and timing counted?

Each distinct practice question counts once. Recent count and accuracy use its first scored answer within the 30-day window; repeats do not replace that answer or add another distinct question. Accuracy uses the counted answers, not an average of quiz percentages. The actual result must meet 70%; rounding does not qualify.

Mock questions are separate from practice MCQ totals and practice accuracy. Activity from different sections is not combined. The saved exam day and final-review windows use Eastern Time (America/New_York).

If you have Max and are evaluating a claim, also read the full coverage, activity and claim requirements. Tracker progress alone does not determine claim eligibility.

See what the rehearsal tells you

A mock gives you
more than one number.

Look at the question and simulation results. Review what went wrong, what took too long, and what you want to revisit before the real exam.

Find the gap.

Separate a concept you don't understand from a question you misread or a task you rushed.

Choose the repair.

Return to a lesson, work through the explanation, or ask a focused follow-up question.

Check again.

Use fresh practice to see whether you can apply the idea without the explanation in front of you.

Suggested review workflow. These steps are study advice, not additional automatic tracker conditions.

Big Day Ready

Shows recorded progress against section preparation targets. Included with every paid plan.

A few useful distinctions.

Does meeting every target mean I will pass?

Meeting the targets gives you a concrete preparation milestone. The targets reflect patterns in Kesler users' recorded studying and self-reported results, but individual results vary. Use your remaining gaps, mock review and course material to guide preparation alongside the tracker.

Big Day Ready does not predict an official score, guarantee a pass, or automatically approve a Max claim.

Do I need Max to use Big Day Ready?

No. Monthly, Complete and Max all include the tracker with paid course access. Max adds the separate conditional Pass Guarantee. Monthly and Complete do not include that financial benefit.

Can I record work completed in another course?

Big Day Ready shows recorded Kesler activity. If you study with another provider too, use its records alongside your Kesler progress when planning your work. Other-provider activity cannot replace the recorded Kesler preparation required for a Max Pass Guarantee claim.

Your course. Your next step.

See how it all fits together.

Lessons, focused practice, a study plan, and support when you need it. Compare Monthly, Complete, and Max to choose the access and added benefits that fit you.
